Just checking my line. Who would call turn and x/f river vs. shove and x/c river vs. small sizing?
On this particular turn I imagine V is semi-bluffing a lot of his draw heavy hands.
Thanks

Tough spot. Villain gonna have 4combos of 89s, 6combos of sets, lets not count JJ and TT because its unlikely. But given that he is shorstacked he should show up with even hands like QQ,KK,AA,AJ from time to time maybe even a draw, but its all i judge on his stack size, stats would help here, calling to improve to FH and making a crying fold OTR is also an option if you think hes a reasonable player.
Also this is a good hand to ch/c flop, too weak to go for multiway streets, so its a good hand to throw to your check/call range sometimes.
JJ(1), TT(1), JTs(2), 98s(3), 77(3), 22(3) are the combos that beat you. What else can you put in his range that would play this way? Does he flat QQ-AA preflop? Have you seen him turn made hands into bluffs in similar spots QJs or AJ? Is villain even capable of turning straight blockers (88-99) into a bluff?
when you jam the turn there you basically hoping villain flatted pre with hands such as QQ-AA and then decided to raise the turn for whatever reason. Because you're pretty toast against the rest of his range that gets it in with you on this turn imo.
After population reads only it is okay to fold. Maybe it is 1/5 times a bluff, so not enough to call.
Ok thanks. Have to toughen up my folds I guess
Folding is kinda cool once you get into it.
I just do it because I am still terrible at poker and it keeps things simple instead of me burning money in post-flop spots where I am completely lost because I made marginal calls.
