NL10 ZOOM vs standard tables - what's your experience
I used to play MTTs and recently I started working towards beating NL10 ZOOM (6max). Today I wanted to try something different so I opened up about 8 to 10 tables of regular NL10 and I had some strange impressions.
My red line started climbing up (whereas it is slightly negative on ZOOM), and overall things seemed easier. Players seemed to take stabs more often with weaker hands, and refuse to fold their strong hands more so than on ZOOM.
Is this just a coincidence, or is this everybody's experience? Is the advantage of playing ZOOM simply to play more hands/hour + easier to fire up and get going? What do you play and why?

I think most people agree that the regular tables are softer. These are the main reasons I could think of:
I personally play Zoom because it's so much easier to start/stop sessions, play a lot of volume and keep track of all the hands you are playing simultaneously. I might start playing regular tables if the Zoom games get more difficult as I move up.
What stakes are you playing now?
I started playing poker again around 6 weeks ago at NL2. I'm up to NL10 now hoping to start taking shots at NL16 this week.
Yeah competition getting tougher when nl2 regs give that good of advices :)
I really can't believe the difference I'm experiencing between Zoom and standard tables. Zoom I'm in the red.. struggling for a tiny measly winrate and then blowing it all up in spots like QQ vs AA/KK. My graph for the past week is pretty horrible. Standard tables I only have 3k hands for now but my graph looks like this.
Could someone help me figure it out? Is it a coincidence on small sample size? Doesn't feel like one at the tables. What am I doing wrong on fast tables? For more info, I play 8 to 10 tables standard, 4 tables zoom. If anybody would like stats or what let me know.
If they are this much softer, the advantages of zoom tables pales in comparison to the winrate difference.
Feels pretty shitty that I can't beat 10NLz and I wonder what I should work on for that, but I am wondering if it is really worth it. Please throw me some feedback.
Thanks
IDK, I dont play reg tables, but I do think that the difference in hourly can make up for the fact that zoom is a bit tougher.
You have small sample sizes so far.
But yeah, basically play whatever you enjoy more and dont worry about the details.
