I think raising the flop and getting it in or calling down are both reasonable. He'll call a flop raise with a bunch of pair+gutshot hands and worse two pair combos. You might be able to shove the river too, but I'm not quite sure about that.
I like calling down, would raise flop if i think hes fishy tho.
I like calling either. Our Range we come to the river with includes (assumption): AA(6),QQ(3),JJ(3),TT(6),AKs(3),AQs(3),AJhh(1),AKo(9),AQo(9),KQs(2),KJs(2),KTs(3),KQo(7),KJo(7),KTo(9),QJs(2),QJo(7),JThh(1)
= 83 combos.
We have to call 69% of our range OTR ($3.90 / ($3.90+($3.90+$4.95)) = 30,6% FEQ)
Defending Range = 1-30,6%=69,4%
83 combos * 0.694 = 57,6 = 58 Combos
KQs/KQo is on our top 20% of our River range, so it's definetly a call.Maybe you raise some hands on the flop (QQ,JJ) so u have to look what range u have on the river and consider your options with your percieved range (but I think it's not that necessary on NL10)
yeah, but how looks his range like?? ist he going to 3barrel with AQ, AK,QT, or something like that?? It would be bettet for him to c/c with AQ, or AK, what do you think guys. Because, what am i gonig to fold?? Just JTs or AQ.
You're right. His range has few to no bluffs, but against an unknown villain we have to call this hand. If u'll see this in future at this villain and u know that he only has a nutty range here, u can make an exploitative fold with KQ. But not against an unknown imo.
I used to do this, and my problem with it is you run into so many people (particularly in ZOOM) that you just end up losing buyins that could have been avoided, then taking notes on people you may never see again.
I'm sure all the regs will flame me and call me retarded but I would just fold OTT or OTR, when people do this at rush it means they have a disguised strong hand like a set or straight, and they think you can have lots of TPs/ two pair hands that won't be able to fold, so they donk pot to try and inflate quickly.
If u're right, u have to say that nl10 is the problem. Not rush poker. I can imagine a nl200 rush poker table will exploit you and u cannot fold KQ in this spot (a nl200 regular ofc). In this situation, maybe it's okay to fold, but I don't like it because we have exactly no hand we call down to a triple barrel (bluff) then.
Yes this is more specific to 10nl than to rush. Not folding at 200nl, but then that's a faraway fantasy land that I've never been to, where I would actually get to play proper poker :P
I also like a river call here.
As the hand plays out the turn and the river aren't really scare cards so our hand isn't getting weaker. So if we wanted to fold, the time for that should be on the flop. Since the flop is quite good for us, I think calling down works. His story doesn't really make sense, AT and JJ maybe can get here flatting a 3x open preflop. I'm thinking more often villain will take this line with a draw that missed. I do think villain could 3 barrel AQ, AK, KT.
I'm not super familiar with these stakes, so perhaps an exploitable fold may be good here. I would want to have more of a read on this player to make an exploitable fold like that. So I'd end up calling here.
