BTN is rec player, BB is a reg though with quite a low 3bet stat and is fairly tight out of the blinds

Close spot and could just complete but raised to try and get HU with the fish.

Decent spot to cbet as both players miss this a fair bit and reg will play more straight forwardly with weaker player still to act

Turn is the main talking point of the hand I think. Dont expect him to have any overpairs here so bit of a WA/WB situation and with our straight outs decided to check call but think betting is a viable option as well. Do most people play a mixed strat here or does anyone have a strong argument for either?

Assume most people would check fold if he bets on this river?

the iso is a bit on the low side if you decide to do that, I'd rather complete since I prefer playing this kind of hands ip
flop is ok to cbet (btw you're against 1 player not 2) although I would probably make it a bit bigger than half pot
I would just give up ott since we're oop and we're xf to about any heart otr
Agree that just completing or making it bigger pre is best what's the reasoning behind betting larger on the flop? I made it small as I think most hands that fold against a cbet are pretty weak and so will fold regardless of the size.
to put the pressure on in later streets that's my reasoning, create bigger pot when we hit, etc. I just tend to bet on the bigger side however sizing is preference in this particular spot I would say and yours should be good as well
OTT, you dont have enough EQ against his valuebetting range (some drawing dead) and also not much against his bluffing range like AQwith one heart, which will also be inclined to fire river. So if you dont intend to call any non heart river, jusrt x/fold turn.
Iso bigger, dont cbet the flop, it smashes the BB range (low to medium pp, suited aces) since we cant discount that he also percieves the BTN as a fish therefor making his range wider.
You blocking 66 and 77 is somewhat relevant, but i think that after betting and getting called you should just shut down and probably fold to any further agression
