NL 50 89s 3bp question about river play
UTG: $26.50 (53 bb)
MP: $50.00 (100 bb)
CO: $55.43 (111 bb)
BU: $55.75 (112 bb)
SB (Hero): $50.50 (101 bb)
BB: $136.57 (273 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($0.75) Hero is SB with 8♣ 9♣
3 players fold, BTN raises to $1.11, Hero 3-bets to $4, 1 fold, BTN calls $2.89
Hello BU looks like reg 23/18/7 fold to 3b 80% but only 20hands so it could be just bad run of cards
Flop: ($8.50) 6♠ 2♠ T♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $5, BTN calls $5
Turn: ($18.50) 4♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $11.42, BTN calls $11.42
River: ($41.34) J♠ (2 players)
On the blank our hand is good candidate to shove because we dont block any draw but what about this river? The problem is the only 1spade hand which is blocking flush that i have in my range after betting flop+turn is ATo which i might 3bet in this positions but its not enought combos of bluffs and it still has relatively solid sd value. If we are shoving only ATo with spade we are underbluffing this spot and having Ts is anyway not that good off a blocker and i have around 20combos of flushes on this river. What should our river bluff range looks like on this river do we just giveup our hand because of no blockers and underbluffing this spot? Villian still has alot of 1pair hands that we can make fold by betting river. If we bet do we still go allin considering we have only few bluffs on this river? (we have around 30$behind)
My 3bet range in this position looks like this

Would probably just check/fold already OTT. Villain has many draws and pairs which he would call. Often when are two flush draws possible, we haven't enough fold equity. Especially when you bet almost 2/3 OTF, villain would call with many pairs, draws and some backdoor flush draws.
I think that I'm with MatoStar here. We're going to have so many draws to barrel with here that we might just want to give up with this one.
Also, why are we talking about bluffing with AT? It should have way too much SDV to turn into a bluff in this line.
Overall, this seems like an interesting spot to put into PIO to see if we're predominantly bluffing with missed diamonds and if not where do our bluffs come from.
This is reply mostly to James Hudson i cant reply to his comment dont know why. Yea you are right i also said that AT has solid sd value and the reason why i was thinking about bluffing is that its the only hand with spade blockers i have in entire range and thats why i had trouble to find hands to bluff otr
That's just the way that the forum is set up :)
What are you jamming this river for value? If you're barreling turn and jamming river with TT+ and flushes for value then you have quite a few value combos. The problem with this hand you block some of villain's folding range like 88, 99, 9Ts and unblock spades. KsQx might also be a decent bluff here as well as AsTx and A3 and A5 cc/hh, blocking AT and unblocking pocket pairs.
If however, you are x/shoving some of your value/bluffs on the turn then I'm guessing you don't need to worry so much about not having enough bluffs
Wonder about flop play here, is this an auto cbet with range here ? or could we mix with some flop check/raise like overpair/TPGK/set & semi bluffs ?
I was looking on my range so i have 18value combos otr, and AsTx + A3,A5cc/hh is total off 6combos so we are underbluffing little bit this river but you are probably right with some xr range ott its not big problem thanks
