HI
VILL 23/17/FT3B 45 - standard reg
FLOP:
Gone for a range cb
TURN:
I guess we can obviously barrel here but decided to just slow down.
He made a strange small stab. It looks totally like some SD, or bluff, he might sometimes have some nuts like 77 or boats but there arent many combos of those, TT he might 4B pre from time to time and sets might raise flop. If he hit trips, would he bet so small on a two FD board ?
I just x/called but with this assumptions i am not sure if i shouldnt just x/raise ?

Why do you 3b so huge pre?
I'd go with $2 generally since $2.50 needs to work a lot and narrows their calling range a lot too.
Anyway, post, I do prefer bigger flop sizing and getting ready to barrel. I'd usually have a plan to go pretty ape with this combo a lot of the time.
I'm definitely barreling turn to fold out lots of equity. Even like QJ etc has equity and can make us fold a lot in certain spots.
River we are basically never good when checks.
I wouldnt say 4.5x is huge 3B, for me OOP its standard, especially when he opens 2.2bb.
And flop i am range cb with low siz, which means i will do it with 100% of my combos. I think its pretty standard too these times.
Don't really like the idea of range betting this flop as you don't have nut advantage and equity advantage isn't going to be huge. Cbet is fine but sizing up. Turn would either bet or x/sh. You get middling pairs to fold and have plenty of equity when called. You also block villains strongest Tx. Would also expect villain to be slightly capped as hes probably raising a lot of sets on the flop. Can X/sh with some overpairs and 7x too. X/c is probably ok but seems a bit weak.
I'm just thinking if you have fold equity by XR turn.
You are OOP, and sometimes when the A, K or any heart come to river, you won't be able to capitalize from that because he has the position on you.
On the other hand, you have enough pot odds to just call even that we assume villain will check it back 100% of the time.
Of course calling won't be minus EV, I'm just wondering which line will have a higher ev (XR or XC OTT).
