He limp called BvB and I labeled him a nit

If he's nit and not recreational - i would propably just fold it OTR.
So i dont see too many Jx that after calling flop he's very interested in raising turn. Thats first problem. Then he have to be interested, again, in shoving river with his Jx on Kd. Flushdraw completes OTR and its propably easier to find some flushdraws that he's interested in turning it into a bluff than Jx.
It would be better to bluffcatch at blank. Kd is not worst, but also not greatest card for you.
Thanks for the input. He showed up w/ QJs, and I block Qx. Guess he wanted to get lucky hoping for 4 outer to stack me and he got it
What can he raise the turn with that you beat besides complete airballs? If he's a nit and showing that much strength I might fold the turn. That's just me though
A lot of potential draws opening OTT and we do actually have some cards to improve alongside with our SDeq, so i think without strong read that opponent is not bluffing there like ever - call should be still better.
I wasn't thinking too much into it, I didn't even pause for a sec to think about folding and just snapped him off. He showed me QJs. Was that a bad flop call on his part? Or he was hoping for implied odds hitting that 4 outter for gutter?
I prefer checking on the turn for pot control, your hand is not that strong. As played I fold otr if he is a nit
Ah makes sense, even tho i made TPQK. As my hand cant stand a raise cause that board does favour his range far more than mine?
It's difficult to stand against a x/r with your hand, so I prefer x back turn and value river. I don't know the limp call range of V's and that's the reason I prefer having control of the pot
I don't like flop sizing on this flop. I prefer 2/3 with value and bluff. On this texture your range will very polarized.
On turn if you think villain is nit, I prefer x/back.
If I bet turn I am bet/fold Vs nit.
Ah true, thanks again! Will implement that in my strat
First cbet bigger.
Second, if you've got him labelled a nit that doesn't play his draws aggressively then b/f turn. If he ever plays his draws aggressively and doesn't follow through on brick rivers, then call turn and fold to river shove.
If villain just has a tight opening range pre but you've seen him barrel off with missed draws, then I'm more inclined to b/c the turn and in this case fold the river since the K completes a lot of villain's draws. If it bricks off like a 2 of clubs, call river. If he plays like this though, you should probably just find a new table because there are easier people to play against at these stakes.
Appreciate the insight! He actually turned the gutter for nut straight and i was totally wrong
Pre is standard
Flop c-bet is standard and sizings can vary here, I think small sizing is fine.
Turn a check is actually OK, but betting again is also ok. I'd fold vs. the x/r vs. some people I knew were very value heavy (which would be most people here), but calling is whatever.
River I'm always folding.
It should be noted that villain played the hand fine. He shouldn't be x/f flop with QJ-- two overs and a gutter vs. your sizing at all.
Oh i c, cuz he has implied odds? if he hits the 10, in which, exactly what happened.
He has Q high, gutter and two overs. In this BvB situation I believe that is just too strong. Especially if he x/r on some good turns (as he did here, though I think his sizing should be larger). As villain I'd fold A2-A7 over QJ here.
Makes sense. Thanks again!
