Merits of cbetting or checking the flop, barreling the turn? AcQx on 664cc 8c

BN: $24.27
SB: $22.05
BB: $48.01
UTG: $45.64
HJ: $60.70
CO: $29.54 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.35) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt A Q
UTG folds, HJ folds, Hero raises to $0.60, BN folds, SB calls $0.50, BB folds
Flop ($1.45) 6 6 4 (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.10, SB calls $1.10
I'm not betting all my broadway here. I can be some K-T high etc And then i included some Ax high with BDFD that can barrel on turn flushing cards. However, i dont feel all turn flushing cards are equal barreling opportunities. Surely villain can find it in him to call when the turn flush card is low, rather than a Tc/Jc/Kc etc - so now i'm doubting the validity of my flop bet.

Is AQ high too strong to bet here, can i include in my check-back range. What if i didn't have a backdoor flush draw?
I'm looking at my overall CO range and i feel i have too many overcards in this spot.
Some advice for me to construct my cbetting range better?
Turn ($3.65) 6 6 4 8 (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks
River ($3.65) 6 6 4 8 7 (2 Players)
SB bets $5.25, Hero folds
Final Pot
SB wins $3.49

I like the cbet. It's unlikely that villain has a hand, and if he does continue you have equity+cards you can bluff on the turn. Also, you are virtually never getting checkraised here, so you don't have to worry about having to fold your equity after putting money in the pot.

i probably cbet these type of flops close to 100% when holding AQ unless i know that villain is very chraise happy. reason for that is simply that i dont want to give villan a free shot at 25% equity with a hand that he would probably ch fold to a cbet.

on the turn i dont think a ch back is bad at all (i probably will ch back very often without the Ac or Qc and hope the river goes cc if i dont improve since we still have decent sd value) but having the Qc makes me more likely to fire again to put pressure on hands like 55,77,99 and you will also get value from Acx Kcx that peeled the flop with just 2 overs and improved on the turn to the nut and 2nd nut fd that you still beat when you ch back the river on a brick.

yep this is very interesting, turn bet is something between 1) value bet again better flush draws but worse Acx pr Kcx high card

2) bluff again pocket pair

and of course take dead money again some weird float OOP and some value from 63,87,75

i like that :)

I think there are a ton of small-medium pocket pairs in villain's flop call range, which I don't think he'll fold to a turn bet. I would probably check behind and take the free card. If you do bet the turn, I'd bet most rivers.

I agree, standard hand and definitely the low variance route.  What is he calling with on flop where the 8c doesn't help his hand and he's going to fold to turn bet? I don't think he calls pre (without knowing stats) with 23 so maybe only hand he might fold with is 53.  I think 54, 55, 57, 58 and any pair of 4's still call turn.

High variance play would be to 3barrel which I think is -EV in most cases (not having more info on villain).
