1) Experienced w/ the scientific method, and looking for a data-driven approach.

2) At least a rudimentary understanding of game theory from a mathematical perspective, as in (enough to know that most of Matthew Janda's stuff for example, is very far from accurate).

3) Interested in/familiar with the ideas of meta-learning and skill acquisition; it's one thing to study, and it's another to think about how to best encode the information so it is repeatably used with accuracy under various constraints.

4) Willing to learn subjects that may seem tangential to poker, but are fundamental to it.

5) General interest in human performance/expanding capabilities.
