LIVE River Spot 5/10 -- Pro Villain Underbets Pot $475/1875
Perceived tight UTG opens 35, HERO calls 99 UTG1, call, call
pro kid just sat down calls on button, blinds fold. Villain does not know me well I believe. $2500 effective. The game is fairly tight, but Villain may or may not know this.
Hero is 49yr old man. I do not know if Villain knows I play well.
POT: $175
5 ways to a flop of:
FLOP KT9 rb
UTG ✔️ Hero (utg1) 135, folds to Villain button raises to $325
folds to Hero who calls.
POT: $825
Turn 8 completing rb KT98
Hero ✔️ Villain bets $525
Hero Calls (thoughts here ? )
POT: $1875
River 7 with final board KT987
This is a good spot for a donk lead I believe but I ✔️
We could discuss my range and I have QJs here but villain may or may not realize I have any sets+ at this point.
This is a generally weak player pool and soft 5/10. Villain is not a regular and likely a weak cash pro.
I believe I fold two pair on turn and 99 is bottom of my continuing range.
Villain bets $475.
Action back to Hero. We?
Hero is getting 5:1
Considering Villain's preflop range:
I assume due to pre flop action Villain calls with 16 combos of QJ and the 9 remaining KT.
It is not obvious if he would squeeze TT but not often I suppose based on the UTG open/opener. KK gets three bet 100%.
Insights and alternatives welcome.
