Live $5/$10 NL: Top Set River Decision
$1420 eff. One of the toughest tables I've ever played. Vs are 5 solid, tight grinders, one of them is very good, another good, the rest solid, 2 recplayer nits with a capital N, and one recplayer who's a bit stationy preflop but is also a nit postflop. Everyone but the nits is playing position. And most of the grinders are capable of occasional moves. Pots are small. Lots of folding. Lots of HU or 3-way pots.
I'm a young grinder. I haven't been running well and generally been losing like 70% of pots. My image is surprisingly LAG at this table, borderline spewy. Definitely in top 2 laggest at the table. I've been "caught" 3bing light and also f-ing around postflop several times. Therefore my preflop raises and cbets get called more often than the table average.
My V looks like a young grinder. Huge nit. Seems to play reversed lines - check/call (passive) when he's strong and bet when he has nothing. Yes, he does bluff small (and only like one street) and rarely, and no that doesn't mean he's not a huge nit. In the past he cold-called my 3b pre (with OR still to act) with KK and checked to me 2 out of 3 streets on rather safe runouts. That's what I mean by taking passive lines when he's strong.
I open to $40 in MP2 with QsQc, HJ recplayer who's a bit stationy preflop calls, V in BB calls.
Flop: Qd3d9d Pot ~ $130 I get a boner. V checks, I bet $80. Only V calls.
Turn: Ah Pot ~ $290 V checks, I bet $200. V calls.
River: Tc Pot ~ $690 V checks, I bet $500, V shoves for $600 moar.
You and why. Feedback on all streets much appreciated.
