Live $5/$10 NL: Call Turn on Dry Board?

$1000 eff. My image young TAG grinder, have been quite active, opening a lot in last 30 mins but losing small pots. V is a young TAG grinder, generally plays snug but can sometimes do something really out of character like call a 3b with 98s with 100bb eff. He's been playing pretty snug, nothing too crazy or unusual so far for him for the 30 mins I've been at the table. Sees me as tight. Respects my game (mutual).

V opens to $40 from UTG+2. His range there is all PPs, KQ+, AJ+. I call CO with TcTs.

HU Flop: Kd2dKh Pot ~ $100 V bets $60, I call.
Turn: 5s Pot ~ $220 V bets $140.

I think V is capable of firing 2 barrels on dry boards like this but I don't have a solid read on this unfortunately. I think he's likely to check flop if he had a King. Anyway, it's unlikely he has a King.

Do you call or not and why?

I think it's a call. Turn changed nothing, his sizing is exactly the same as flop. He's gonna have pretty much the same range, so why fold now? We'd need a read that he has a tendency to give up bluffs on turns after cbetting flop.

I'm also curious why you think it's unlikely he has a K. Barreling K on flop and turn is extremely standard. Him having fewer Kx would be more reason to call, and perhaps even raise if he's really that capped.

Call turn, evaluate river.
he has Kx in his range ez, but also any Adxd played the same way, and some of the time 88-99, which is def enough to call that.
+ i think JJ-AA would sometime check in that spot as V, so those hands doesnt play that way 100% of the time, since ur range has a decent amount of Kx in it.

Close spot, if the preflop range you assigned him is accurate. I'd assume vilain is good enough to value bet JJ/QQ/AA, along with trips obv. I don't mind folding. Would usually try to rely on live tells in these close spots (and by live tells I also mean the 'momentum' in which opponent is... for instance if he seems confident that day or not, if he's been losing or winning.... and just what vibe I get from him: many times you can 'feel' the level of strengh/confidence in your opponent). If you're not accustomed to that or if in that spot you just don't manage to get anything, then fold. What I really really hate in poker is to make a marginal call turn knowing I'll usually have to fold any river ; when that's the case I prefer to diminish my losses early ; but there again that's a personal approach.
Also I'd definitely fold this situation more live than online against a tight grinder. They usually don't barrel nearly enough, or they would not have this 'snug' image.

struggle with this live. its related to the whole 'if u call turn u gotta call river.' thing is, he's not gunna 3 barrel aa qq jj so on river he reps Kx+ and if he actually checks a lot of these on flop, then river can arguably be a call as he will be weighted towards bluffs

I don't think you can ever that accurately define a players pre flop range, and in a live game I would use my instinct to estimate a players category of hand (i.e something specific, not a range)

I don't see what would reason you to think a player is likely to check the flop with a K but if you feel that to be the case then i think i would call as i find it unlikely a player would attempt to value bet 3 streets with as weak as AA (although it is possible)
