Live $5/$10: 99 Line Check
$2000 eff. Pretty tight table. My image TAG grinder, tight, I open 9♣ 9♠ in HJ to $40. Good TAG grinder OTB calls, he's generally tight but quite capable of aggression postflop, nitty TAG grinder calls in BB. All played with each other before many many times. Respect each other's game.
Flop: T♥ 6♦ 5♣ Pot $125 BB checks to me.
Decision Point 1. I decided to bet small $50, mostly for protection from overs. What do you think of this decision? What would you do?
Only button calls.
Turn: A♠ Pot $225 I check, button bets $50 which is really weird.
My initial flop cbet sizing was weird but button's turn button takes the weirdness to anotha level. I know that's quite capable of repping the A and knows that most of the time my check means being scared of an Ace. I considered betting the turn but that would turn my holding into a bluff - why would I want to do that? Just to prevent V from repping the A?
Decision Point 2. I call. What do you think of this?
River: J ♣ Pot $325 I check, button bets $150, I fold. Comments?

When you cbet this size i expect some player to call some AJ AQ hands, in heads up i would prob x/c, in 3way i don'tthink there is a lot of pure float and you block 99, he doesn't rape a lot in value, but can have some decently, i would xf this river, x/c a brick or a T
Seems wp, as long you know what your bets mean and how you wanna deal with further action. Iguess you can fold OTT, but for that size, I dont mind peeling and folding river.
I dont like the non std sizing otf. Not sure that it prevents anyone, especially button, from floating with broadway combos, bd fd, etc. Also i think you want to get a little more value from 77/88/78/76/floats etc while you can. But as far as your line, I think you played it fine.
