I would just cbet this flop. Do you fear a raise here? Or do you want to balance your x/calling range by doing so with an openender? What was your plan in the hand x/c twice and fold river ?
I believe cbetting the flop is good..
I decided to defend my range here with a X/c range..
4b pots our interesting as neither the 4ber and the caller have a huge range advantage on a lot of board textures..
Take this hand as a example both players Can have QQ,and TT here for sets or big combo draws as AKcc or AJcc
When I decided to defend with a X/c I believed that OESD should be in there to balance my value check range..
why? you have K hi... what does your flop check/call range even look like? what does your 4b range look like?? also see no point in betting the river.. I'm guessing he had like AK or KQ or something? I guess maybe he has like AQ but I'm not sure if he would call the river..
My flop x/c value range here looks like AA,KK, QQ,TT 18 combos
I may lead with AA,KK half the time x/c the other half to have strong hands in my OOP checking range...
KJo is 12 combos
AKcc and AJcc are 2 combos
for a total of 16 combos in my non value X/c range..
I would just fold to the 3-bet pre flop, but as played I like checked raising the flop. Also I am probably just check/calling river.
I agree that x/c the river is the better play
If you would fold this hand pre to a 3b from BTN vs CO what hands do you suggest we 4b as a bluff?
