Live $2-5, Mid pair and flush draw facing aggression.
Hero $500 to start. 3 limps and I limp co with K9hh. Sb completes and Bb checks.
Flop 10h 9s 3h
Sb (villain) checks, EP limper bets $25, folds to hero and I call.
Villain check-raises to $80, EP folds, hero calls. Villain covers with about $800.
Turn 2d (Pot ~ $200)
Sb leads out $160. Hero?
Readless on unknown mid-late 20's villain. He's not a reg around here. Been at this table a few rotations haven't seen anything notable from him. Pre-flop I decided to just limp and try and see a flop with position and a speculative hand. Can argue for raising, and folding wouldn't be out of the question (although the lineup was on the weak side so I wanna see flops IP). Flop play I think is fine. Can argue for raising but I'm in position and EP player is tilting hard right now and losing a lot. Against better players I'd be more inclined to raise the $25 bet. Against the check raise I don't see a need to 3bet as we will often be getting it in behind (check raise from unknowns in live poker are usually 2 pair +).
Turn, we're getting 2.25-1 direct odds which is not enough for the FD, and just short of break-even if we count 9's and Ks as outs. I think this a close spot though because we will have the best hand sometimes when villain has missed draws (and may give up on river). Hands like 78hh, 68hh, J8hh, Axhh. Can we call here and just fold river misses?
Thoughts on all streets appreciated. Thanks!
