Live 1/2nl Facing river check shove.
Table dynamics: V is one the tougher regs in the room. Walks the line between TAG and LAG and is capable of taking very exploitive lines vs the player pool. Often plays 2/5 & some 5/10 but is seen daily in the 1/2 games when bigger aren't running.
H is known as a fairly TAG reg, but massive hand history with V. Occasionally plays bigger but is a petty solid winner at these stakes.
H is button with AcTs
V is UTG2
Eff stacks are. $180.
Pre:
Weak player limps utg.
V raises $12.
H calls $12
UTG folds.
Flop: Tc4s6d ($29)
V checks, H checks
Turn: As ($29)
V bets $20, H Calls.
River: Jh ($69)
V checks, H bets $40. V checkraises to $155 (all in) H?
At first this seemed like a clear call on the river bit the more I think about it, the more unsure I get. Obv some Aces that are weak can exploit me by check shoving if I go for thin value with any ace here, also this puts huge pressure on all of my less than top-2 combos.
At the same time, can I ever check back a strong 2pair vs this player?
