Live 1/2€ : Hero calling on the river vs maniac
Hi guys,
Just a quick HH from my last live game. Blinds 1/2€
Hero (SB) :around 380€ (190 BB). Rather loose and agressive PF, I've played quite aggressively with both draws and strong hands, and I've played more passively with medium and strong hands (such as top and 3rd pair), all of which he has seen.
Villain is a very aggressive player, covers me by a lot. He opens about 45-50% in that position, and have bet small IP 3 times, 2 times with draws and once with top pair trashy kicker. Never seen him fold to a 3bet. He ran an awful lot of bluffs in the last hour (raised twice on the river with nothing) and got called twice.
The other guys are whales.
Hero gets dealt TsTc in the SB
Preflop : UTG + 1 opens to 6€, 2 calls, Hero 3bets to 35€, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds.
Flop (84€) QdJd5c
Hero checks, Villain bets 25€, Hero calls
Turn (134€) QdJd5c 2h
Hero checks, Villain bets 25€, Hero calls
River (184€) QdJd5c2h 8s
Hero checks, Villain bets all-in for around 300€ effective, Hero ?
I'm more than happy to discuss preflop, flop or turn play as well. Should we call on that river?

It's a very weird line by Villain. Live I feel like you may run into Q8/J8/88/T9 more than you should. But with people like your opponent it can really mean anything.
Your hand is underrepped, so I am inclined to call. But really, it is a pretty close spot, so it won't be a big mistake either way.
Preflop:
Since you said villain is basically never folding to 3-bets, you don't really accomplish much by 3-betting other than building a bigger pot ooP with what is most likely a very marginal hand postflop! So while squeezing TT in general might be fine(still on the loose side vs UTG1 open) I would stay away from it in this spot. 3betting TT is more appealing if villain is likely to fold hands like KJ, KQ, Ax,...
Flop:
Fine. We should do a lot of checking on this board in general, especially with no hearts.
Turn:
Usually a fold, but obv not against this weird super small sizing.
River:
Pretty interresting spot as he overbets and you're blocking the straight heavily while not blocking any flushdraws. Alltough I would assume he is betting flushdraws bigger on turn.
The question is, did he overbet rivers before and if yes - how polarized were his holdings?
All in all I lean more towards fold, because obviously you have way better hands, in terms of hand strength to call with, and without any specific reads it looks a lot like two pair or set, that failed to build a pot earlier and is now trying to make up for it buy overbetting, to me.
