Live 10/20 line check, river decision
Playing 6 handed, with 2 moderately fun players.. Not much else in the way of reads.
UTG opens 60, gets 1 fold from MP everyone else calls including BTN and SB who are both the spots, we complete in the BB with 63o..
POT: 300
FLOP: 5d 4c 2d
checks to the BTN who bets 220, SB makes it 560, hero calls, folds to the btn who comes along as well.. (started the hand 3600 eff)
POT: 1980
TURN: 7o
SB checks, Hero bets 1100, BTN calls, SB calls..
POT: 5280
RIVER: 6o
SB checks, we have 1880 behind whats our play?
Also thoughts on other streets, I'm sure I will get some fold pre posts but I'm getting a good price and I think i watched some sauce vids right before this session so folding my BB here was outta the question :)
thanks!

What do we have? River is jam even with sets, dont see many 8x or 3 x in his range and they will prob just donk for that small size you will get called by worse.
We have 63o
I would just lead, lead, lead as standard line multiway.
Fishes are usually not folding after they x/r on this board. Very likely for him to have a set, so good spot to put more money in on the flop even tough your hand doesn't need a lot of protection.
Agreed with Raphael, I'd usually 3b flop, because I almost never have a calling range in that spot, and above all I think both BTN (big sizing 5way flop) and SB (check-raise with 4 players behind) have very strong ranges, so we have a lot of value right now (big draws will call a lot flop, but probably not turn ; also huge hands such as two pairs / sets could get scared if diamonds get there, etc).
As played, everybody has strong ranges on the turn (which is why SB slows down probably), so I don't mind just jamming there, since when you bet half pot and get 1 call, you only have 1/3rd pot bet river ! But overall would prefer a small 3b on the flop allowing for an easier shove on most turns.
I agree..I tend to like leading this flop sometimes and check raising sometimes with similar nutted holdings. We are playing a LIVE 10/20 cash game in Vegas so we can definitely see BTN/SB having 1 pair type hands looking for protection and in this case they're basically drawing dead against us with these type of hands, with that being said I chose to just call and not narrow there ranges HEAVILY with a super strong 3b on this flop.
As played when SB checks turn, I actually do like a jam better then my sizing I chose.
As played though, whats our river play IYO?
I play in a lot of games that play like this preflop at 5/10 10/20 in Vegas I've messed around with a ton of stuff I'd be unlikely to mix in online. I am a big fan of defending the BB extremely wide here and am very on board with having a wide leading range (and definitely including this hand) in this spot because I have so much more of this board than most BBs and more often than the other people in the hand as well. As played I would definitely agree with 3b the flop when the two villians are the spots, just can't be bad to get more money in and any reasonable sizing with effective stacks will induce them to continue. You look equally strong between the two options if not slightly stronger when you call because you're inviting potential 3+ way turn action, so if my assumption and that of others is that the spots are likely to continue too wide (or just very often regardless of handstrength) it's nice to just 3b flop shove turn with our fairly shallow stack as live poker goes at these stakes.
As played to the turn well played.
As played to the river I probably jam. wouldn't be at all shocked to see the 8d though so I couldn't blame you for ck/reacting, but this decision would be very live gameflow dependent for me and i think my standard in a game like this vs these villians would be putting my 1880 into the wagering area.
I think the flop play is much more important than the river play. I feel if you play live a lot and have a good feel for your table your river decision will be pretty easy. If there's some sticky fish bet. If they're super passive and honest ck/fold. I would almost never be ck/calling here but i'm sure there's a lineup i could find one against. Just being confident in your live play/guesses on how a player is going to react is what's important for this river decision.
we need to 3bet flop
We can rep more than just the nuts in this spot by 3betting flop considering any cold calling range would be fairly defined. also, when both sb and btn are spots you are ilkely to get calls otf after you 3 bet by at least one, setting up turn for a nice fat bet. furthermore, are we holding the 6d or 3d by chance? I think this would be an important piece of information considering we are oop and it is essentially a single raise family pot.
what is the pot on the turn and your spr? seems like 1100 is a bit small considering they can have many pair+draw/combo draws -- I feel like you're missing value if you aren't betting at least 75% of pot, I also think river will play much easier considering the pot size will differ
I feel like turn should be an overbet shove? Our range here is basically 2pair/sets, straights, and strong draws like AdXd. When we bet 1100 into 2000 on turn with 1900 left 3way it seems very hard for us to be semibluffing.
I like making it 1200 on flop and shoving turn, that way you make them pay but also get the chips in before possible bad cards come in killing or hurting your action - I prefer getting it in with best of it on a great board.
