Live $1-2 NL, TPTK, OOP vs LAG
I start with $500 and villain covers. He's a LAG and is in the game for $600 or so. He's in almost every pot, limps a ton and then almost always calls if someone raises. Tries to make a lot of moves after the flop but has big tells (almost always slow plays when he has it for example). Anyways I've already beat him in a few big pots as I'm on his direct left and have been able to control him for the most part.
Hero in SB with AKo
2-3 limpers plus villain limps button.
Hero raises to $16, folds around and Villain calls.
Pot $32
Flop A95hh
Hero c-bets $16 - Can obv lead bigger, like 20-25 but that's kind of trivial IMO. We have history where I've checked the top of my range on the flop so I'm mixing it up.
Villain raises to $45 very quickly
Hero calls after a pause (seems standard, let him blast away with his draws and air.) Pot ~ $120
Turn Jc
Hero checks (standard imo)
Villain bets $55 quickly.
Hero?
Makes no sense I'm instantly not believing this. He's repping 2 pair or a set but very few combos of those make sense to me, 55 being the only exception. Seems very passive and like a way to lose a big pot if I flat and then just check call like $100 on this river (would be consistent with his habits on sizing, so thats my best guess at his river bet if I flat here.)
I ask him if he has any greens cuz I can't see his stack (confirmed he covers) and he's disgusted/gave away a big frustration tell. I decided to check raise to $160 and planned on folding if he shipped it. He folded quick. I feel like I played this bad. Am I turning AK into a bluff with this play? Do I have to call off if he jams? Should I just check call turn and river? Thanks
