I see these cbet raises a lot in NL10 and the majority of the time they seem to be simple bluffs. I elected to call hoping he would continue on the turn.

We're only beat by QQ and AA which I highly doubt him having giving the lack of a 3bet pre. AT and QT which are both somewhat unlikely given there's already 3 T's out there. I had him on maybe KQ or AQ. What do you guys think?

as played, foldind is heartbreaking given the odds your getting, but it's probably a goof spot to hero fold because villain s got he nut like always when he shoves here.
you could have saved yourself from that awful spot by not raising the turn.
like you said, there arent that many T, one left actually, and villain cant have AA and QQ, so he is either A) bluffing or B) overplaying a smaller T, Qx or an Ax type hand or C) crushing you wih QT or AT.
by raising, you make him fold his bluffs and most hands that he can have, except the ones that are crushing you and JTs, T9s and maybe T8s.
way more money to be made by not raising the turn.
You cannot raise/fold for 75% of your stack here. I prefer calling turn to balance my range and fold on straight rivers, calling off any other card.
"We're only beat by QQ and AA which I " False.
Villain has QT as well as some AT or even KJ. These are far more likely given preflop action.
Disharmonist
It's 10nl though. We should not be trying to balance our ranges at the micros. Turn raise is bad here but only because we're not going to get called by worse very often.
I worded that wrong. I did go on to say it's unlikely he has QT or AT, my bad. Thank you for your analysis. @Montana highlighted that i seem to be raising in spots which I shouldn't which is probably a big leak in my game. Going to focus on that when I have a full session review.
You lose to KJ, QT and AT. This is quite alot of combos and its tough to see alot of bluffs when the A hits the turn and makes all the KJo combos into straights... given this i do not see the logic in the turn raise as we rarely get called by a worse hands.
In poker the logic behind raising will be to either make a better hand fold or a worse hand call. In this situation you have a fairly medium strength hand given how the action went so I would call and play a river!
Hope this helps
Iain
Thanks, Iain.
I think I tend to overvalue my hands a lot more than I should do. The way the action unfolds and the information it gives me is still something I need to learn to pick up, hopefully It'll come naturally through simply playing and noticing patterns over time.
