KK NL25.

BN: BTN: $49.30
SB: SB: $82.72
BB: BB: $51.84
UTG: Hero: $57.78
HJ: MP: $106.78
CO: CO: $35.08
Villain is 17/17 over 6 hands, so not much reads I have here.
Preflop ($0.70) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt K K
Hero raises to $1.50, MP raises to $5.20, CO folds, BTN folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero raises to $11.50, MP calls $6.30
Flop ($25.20) 9 A T (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP checks
I didn't know what to do so I checked. Ace may hit a lot of his range. He also didn't have to much flushdraws, because I have a king blocker. His check back is little strange for me.
Turn ($25.20) J (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP checks
I think I should start betting here. I don't know why I haven't done that. I don't think he check back his ace. I might get some value from Q, J etc.
River ($25.20) 7 (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP bets $14.02, Hero calls $14.02
I didn't think betting here gets much value I could be wrong, but I don't think so. He bets. I don't think he has an ace after all of the action. He could have flush, but the only reasonable hand that I think he might have is QJ, but I think he might start creating folding equity on the flop. I haven't seen too many value hands here, so I decided to call him.

What do you think about the way I played this hand?

Regards.

You're right that betting turn probably isn't bad. We can get value from QQ and protect ourselves from many bad river 4-straight/3-flush cards. Our hand is probably only worth 1 street of value on this board and I think for protection reasons, using it on the turn would be best.

We have to use what little info we have here. Will a 17/17 3-bet and then flat a 4-bet with a hand like 98s or QJhh vs. UTG? Probably not.

I think villain's most likely hand here is AKo or AQs (weighted towards AQs since we block AK). He is checking back the flop because he's worried about the 1 combo of AA (we did 4B from UTG vs. MP afterall). He decides to check back turn for pot control and because at this point a free card isn't that dangerous for his hand (he probably has a gutshot) and we might still be checking with AK twice.

So on the river, 14/25 looks like a thin'ish value bet sizing to me. We have $32 behind. I don't think the question is whether or not to call. I think it should be whether or not to CRAI. Villain's range is unlikely to contain any 8's, and there's a lot of thin value bets in his range. On top of that, we have the Kh blocker, and the Ah is already on the board. Any weaker FD would have therefore at least bet the flop or the turn. So I don't think he has a flush either. Given all of this I think CRAI will get villain to fold a TP type hand. So I would CRAI.

your reasoning for why he can't have a flush is also reasoning for why you can't rep a flush by crai on the river. crai with a severely capped range on the river sounds like a bad idea. Any hand in our range (or at least our perceived range) that that is good enough for a river x/r probably bets flop or turn.
