KK facing weird line

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $12.18
SB: $10.53
BB: $10.42
UTG: $21.36
MP: $18.78 (Hero)
CO: $17.99
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is MP with K K
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, BB raises to $1.00, Hero calls $0.70
Would usually 4bet/GII in these positions but mixing it up to strengthen calling range and also villain had 2% 3bet over 160 hands.
Flop ($2.05) 4 Q 4
BB checks, Hero checks
Nothing to really protect against, don't feel comfortable stacking off.
Turn ($2.05) 4 Q 4 8
BB checks, Hero bets $1.10, BB calls $1.10
River ($4.25) 4 Q 4 8 3
BB bets $8.32 and is all in

I took a line I wouldn't normally and ended up facing a 2x pot jam on the river...

This seems like a really unlikely way to play AK/AQ/KQ. Straight bluff from preflop, or a middle pair, would also be really out of the blue. It's just hard to figure out anything he can do this with that you beat. I think if you call you'll see QQ, AA, and the occasional 88, and not much else.

Exploitatively folding, Villian doesn't have enough bluffs. Calling with 8x, or Qx, or having AK are going to be better bluff catchers than KK. It sucks we get to this spot, but legit I would exploit fold. Pretty fucking sad though.

Flop you have nothing to protect against except Ax which make up largest part of villain's range. I think you should bet for value here even if you make it small around 1/3 pot.
I find the notion that you are checking OTF because you are not comfortable stacking off amusing - and I mean no offense by it but it sounds extremely nitty to me.

However, when villain completely spazzes out like that OTR I think I am ready to make an exploitable fold but I don't feel happy about it. I feel we are making a big mistake too often if he is random button clicker. I'm not certain but I'm assuming GTO would have us call in that spot.

You think there's a lot of value to be had vs a really tight 3bettor on the flop? He will very rarely have KQ, I can't get 3 streets vs JJ and villain probably doesn't 3bet AQ 100%, so I might be just value cutting straight away

Fair enough if you think he is as tight as you say then no there is probably not a lot of value to be had. I still think it is worth cbetting for value against Qx and if nothing else for protection against Ax.
If I don't think I can get 3 streets against JJ I still prefer to bet flop and turn than turn and river.
How about if you bet really small on 3 streets you think you can get value from JJ or Qx?

Sorry - but what is an "exploitable fold" everybody is mentioning here?

Very simplified: When you have reads on villain/population that they're not bluffing enough in a certain spot so you exploit this tendency and adjust by folding hands that game theory would usually have you call with. If villain knew you are making this adjustment he could easily exploit you by simply bluffing that spot more often.
It's the opposite of a hero call but much harder to adjust against because there is no showdown therefore villain will likely not know you are over-folding a spot against him.
