He is a reg for sure but only 30 hands. Better strategy bet range small?

I am having a hard time figuring out what his calling range is here. Can't imagine AA is in there. It's going to be wider since you are deeper. He will have Qx and bluffs (KJdd, J10dd, 76dd) here often enough where you have to call turn here I do believe.
Especially against unknown I like to simplify things and bet range there. Then on turn I can xback and usually fold river as I will have enough Ax played same way to call. Checkback is problematic especially if you have completely no clue how villain range looks.
seems fine, flop can be a bet but by checking you shouldn't be losing any EV. And turn I'm folding too, blocking some bluffs and having hard time improving or bluff catching rivers. But I can see why we want to be calling and we have enough equity, opponent can have few bluffs(JT,KJ,T9,89, 66-JJ,54) and value-range is narrow(AK,AQ,QQ,55,A5s-A3s)
Overall I agree wth Jeff_ but looks like for betting we need to have a pretty wide betting range OTF, that's way to thin to extract value, maybe we can bet vs fish to get to SD. I really believe that we don't have to call the turn since we don't have any no specific reads and we are playing vs regular who should be playing very straightforward. I would just fold, calling the turn is way too expensive, and if we always face 2 bets (turn/river), we should be calling the river with some frequency which isn't that great of an idea.
IMO checking flop and folding turn will not be more profitable than betting range small sizing on the flop. If we check this hand on the flop, I think it demands that we defend a little more of our range OTT. As played, decision to call turn will be player dependent. By not betting range i'm probably going to fold turn against an unknown.
I dont like this check on the flop imo
sorry basic question here but what size are you range betting 25% or 33%
I don't mind mind the flop check, but I think when you do, it becomes mandatory to call on a brick turn. The problem with betting flop is that villain mostly just folds hands that have little to no equity. By checking, you keep those hands in, and villain might be tempted to stab at the pot, which is what you want and why should absolutely call on the turn.
