This board favors villains range a lot. I expect this esp. true if we are deep (as Hero should 3bet tighter oop). So i would usually start with a check OTF already.
As played: Very ugly spot tbh....It sounds super nitty, but given your reads, we could argue for a fold OTT.
In theory definetly a call OTT i guess, esp as we unblock hearts....
But i expect his bets „for protection“ to be much smaller usually and vs a polarized betting strategy on a board that smashes villains range pretty hard, it ill be tough to play rivers
Turn decision should be around 0ev. The hand is dead against value but has good equity vs the bluffs. A better vblufcatcher woul be any flush draw or 88 because these hands have better equity vs V's value range even tho they have less equity vs the bluffs.
