I 3bet as a bluff vs a wide CO open.

OTF, I bet with intention of bareling the turn a faire amount to make him fold is PP< A. I also have good equity,

Once he called, I put him mostly on an Ax hand. Im not sure about the kicker tho. If he had AK, AQ, maybe he'd have raise the turn to protect vs FD.. I dont know.. What do you think ?

Since I put him on an Ax hand, I decided not to bluff shove the river.. At 10nl, I dont think I can make him fold Ax, even if its as weak as AT.

Not a big fan of the 3b.
As played, I think postflop fine - you could have prob bet slightly bigger otf/ott. Agreed with the analysis as well.
I 3bet with hands like that against specific opponent. Those who have a high PFR (or high steal %) and fold a lot to 3bet. I said vilain was foldign 60% to 3bet, but I think it was more than that.. and he was on the co.
I don't mind the 3bet. I like to get active early in order to get my 3bet stat up, and then I tend to get more action vs my big hands.
Everything post-flop fine. Probably get snapped off on the River by AQ. Doubt you're up against something as weak as 99/TT here.
Also not a fan of the 3bet but its probably not too bad.
How much do you think your fold equity from hands like 99-TT changes on the turn if you bet it bigger than you did? Betting half pot i think makes it more likely he peels with these types of hand, and then the river is tough because he should be fairly balanced between Ax and PP so you don't really know what the best play is.
I'd rather bet bigger on the turn, but if you think he is pretty inelastic here then half pot makes more sense. Its a judgement thing i guess, and you know the players better than me at these limits.
I like the half pot flop sizing though.
humm.. Tbh, I think that if vilain wants to call with his PP, he'll call anyway. (maybe not if we overbet tho). But to me, the worse the players are, the more elastic their calling range are so it wouldnt change anything if we bet 3/4 pot or something. That just my guess tho, I could be wrong.
3b is very bad vs random.
As played fine.
I think you played this hand fine.
Regarding 3betting light in position, I normally choose opponents more carefully. Otherwise you may get into a lot of medium sized pots and give up by the river which will hurt your redline if you overdo it. This relates to your other post regarding redline. And to your other q, i'm playing 25NL currently.
From my experience you want to target those who has a 4bet/fold strategy, or those with taggy/nitty kinda stats, say 20/12/0.5. If his historical fold to 3bet is more than 50% or even 100%, this play is definitely fine. If you do get called c-bet the flop most of the time since they might be using a fit or fold strategy with mid pocketpairs and miss most of the time.
An irrelevant question, what converter do u use to post in this format?
I just copy and past the hand from HEM2 into the hand history box.
