JTs facing Squeeze from HJ Bovada $0.50/$1.00 6-max NLH
HJ - $112.40 - Hero - JdTd
SB - $120.40 - 46/29 over 28 hands
BB - $100.00 - First hand at the table
Preflop:
HJ raises to $3.00, SB calls $2.50, BB raises to $12.00, Hero???
Normally I just sigh/fold in this spot. Seems like the population is squeezing hands like JJ+, AJ-AK, KQ here. That means you have to probably fold to a lot of turn barrels after flopping a J or a T, sometimes will just flop second pair and your opponent will flop top pair, and sometimes it will be hard to realize your equity. Ex: Villain c-bets AQ and you fold J high, where you had 24% outs. Your able to call $9.00 to win $18.00.
Risk/(Risk+Reward) $9/($9+18) = 33% equity
Vs a range of JJ+, AJ-AK, KQ, Hero has right at 33% equity, but like I mentioned earlier, its going to be hard for Hero to realize his equity. So, I think folding is the best option. Does anybody disagree. If you do, why?
Normally I just defend JTs vs most SB/BB 3bettors from the btn. Is there any other spots vs a pot size 3bet where I should be defending JTs without information? (Like I should obv defend JTs vs a light 3bettor...someone 3betting 18%) Like Co vs SB 3bet? What about CO vs btn pot size 3bet? Or HJ vs btn pot size 3bet?
