is studying default strategy worth? (GTO)
when I use solver to study, 1st thing I do is run and see what default strategy looks.
the problem is default strategy is far away from the reality(at least my opinion).
for example, players in reality do not defend and raise enough as default strategy and fold much.
so when I use node lock and see what the optimal strategy looks like against real player, it looks very different than default strategy.
That's why I am wondering studying default strategy is worth.
if it is worth, how do I study it?

Don't aim to copy the solver, try to understand why the solver does everything that it does and then you can also start to look at what you should change when your villains play differently. Adjustments also don't really make sense if you don't understand why the default strategy looks the way it does and often times people play really over simplified "exploits" because they don't actually understand the reasons for playing in a certain way.
Thanks a lot for your comment!
Yes it is!
First of all, you won't be able to instantly know how to "exploit" every player, so you will want to have a really solid foundation. And even if this was not the case, if you didn't know the proper way to play how could you properly exploit? (like DNegs98 said)
Another argument is that if you don't have a theoretically sound strategy you will get destroyed by decent players and I doubt you want to only play stakes where everyone sucks so if you want to climb you will want to be able to stand your ground against good players.
About learning it, RIO has great content, I'd recommend getting the course From the Ground Up. The course contains 1 month of essential membership and I'm sure you'll see that essential membership is also a great tool for learning very useful poker theory concepts and also how to exploit properly, there are great videos on both, many of them recent.
Good luck!
(Anyone else hate to see GTO called "default"?)
Honestly "default" just makes me think of all the GTO skeptics that think something along the lines of "GTO is cool, but my strat is miles ahead" and try to sell you their shitty training videos. I think people that tend to have a condescending view of GTO poker don't realise just how intricate it is and that is has punches and counter punches beyond what you can imagine without working with a solver.
Thank you! your comment helped me a lot
While I don't agree with "if you don't know gto, you don't know how to exploit", I do agree that it is very useful to know. When you're exploiting, a lot of the times you're exploiting player pool tendencies and you don't really need a deep understanding about what gto solutions would be, you just need an understanding of what is the kind of best ev line (which is not the gto line at all in these cases).
BUT... There comes a point where you encounter more and more of the kind of players that make you think "shit I don't know what he's playing this way, I have no clue how to play any of my hands against him". They're somewhat or well balanced, using different strategies than the before mentioned weaker players and don't really have the kind of leaks you can see, unless you are very, very good. And these days, unfortunately these moments come up playing even in a NL25 zoom pool but NL50 zoom for sure.
Against these players you will benefit a ton from studying gto. Just don't fall into the mistake of using or thinking about gto ranges when playing recreational players or very weak fishregs. That's a mistake I've seen a lot of micro/small stakes players do when they start studying gto.
