HU Zoom .5/1 against Tricky McTrickster

Hand is against the best reg in the zoom pool imo. He only floats turn in 3 bet pots 30% and is tricky enough to check back 5s there and i don't know for a fact that he checks back draws in this spot but with only 30% of turn floats in 3bet pots, it's something that's worth considering.

Now I know that c/c would be the best play there after having reviewed the play. Though my question is to call or to fold the hand as played.

Here's the HH : http://weaktight.com/6783551

Thanks for help guys

Hey. I don't suppose that a good reg would call a 3b OOP w/ many hands that contain a 5x, so I wouldn't worry much about it. I also think that he can XB 78s ott to define your range more/strengthen his perceived range - the 5x is generally better for him (not that he has a ton of them, but still), so he might expect you to realize that and XC this turn assuming he would fire with all of his floats.

That being said, I agree that XC the R sounds good.

As played, I'm not sure - generally a BXB line represents a middle value range, but it's not like our range is capped otr or anything - we can still play any OvP this way - any worse OvP would bet the T for protection + we additionally extract value from his floats. Also, your line doesn't look like a bluff at all - more like a hand trying to make up for 'lost' value.

I think you have to expect him to turn a hand like 88/89s into a bluff (blockers) in order  to make a call, but I doubt he'd XB 100% of those ott, so I'd probably just muck it.

Thanks for the very well detailed answer; I agree a lot with you and although he's pretty good I doubt too that he would turn 88/89s into a bluff as he raised the river pretty fast.
