same vilain as " HU hand 1: KQ on Q43r vs big x/r "
so vilain wanted to HU, he play nl400 & 1k sometimes, not a fish but not a reg, he's too passive, and does weird stuff, like 4bet shove all in 22 at 100bb deep
on HU, he is 72/58, (open 88%, def BB 30% call, 27% 3bet) and quite passive postflop (agg 33/27/20), cbet 50% flop, never saw him bluff river so far on ~150hands (but a played him HU a while ago, so maybe this HH happens after 50 hands today)
this hand happens later, never saw him bluff river, and he his quite passive, especially turn and river

flop & turn are easy value bet, but WHY DO YOU LEAD RIVER
i think folding here is best because:
1/ he has 86/J8/flushes
2/ he is quite passive
3/ don't think he would bluff x/c flop & turn, leading river
4/ only beat T9 (i block it) 77/33 in his value range
thoughts?

I guess you can bet a little bit more on the turn , and river get a good SPR<0.8.It`S still allright call on the river.
The key point is villain turn call range.
you have flushes in your range, and everything got there, so i doubt he has a bluff. In terms of value betting thinner, I would think 77/33 and T9 would most likely play different, and probably not lead the river? have you seen him do this? Do u see players doing this in general? just can't see him turning up with that here
you're plenty of better hands... bluffcatch-wise - if he's as much polarized as he looks like with the action and bet size - even a hand like AhT could be a better call than 99. (not sure if I'd call AhT btw, just sayin')
it would be pretty harder if facing an half pot bet or so; but vs the 3/4 one we can find a quite easy and safe fold with no regrets, I guess.
Don't fall into the trap of calling here. These knits will only do this shove with the nutter butters. When a player takes river action like this it polarizes them. You have a pretty bad bluff catcher.
4/ only beat T9 (i block it) 77/33 in his value range
he's not shoving 77/33 here if he has half a brain~
I don't think you should fold this hand in this situation.
Passive players play their hand according to their actual strenght and pretty exploitable if you are disciplined enough. Play your RELATIVE handstr. not the absolute- I´d fold.
Looks like a fold, we have flushes in our range so it seems utterly insane for him to do this without a flush, especially with your description of him. Maybe once in a blue moon if he's on utter monkey tilt.
