How to play against over bet?

Blinds: $0.01/$0.02 (6 Players) BN: $10.63
SB: $0.77
BB: $4.03 (Hero)
UTG: $1.91
MP: $3.87
CO: $7.20
Preflop ($0.03) Hero is BB with A Q
2 folds, CO raises to $0.06, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.04
Flop ($0.13) 4 4 Q
Hero checks, CO bets $0.07, Hero calls $0.07
Turn ($0.27) 4 4 Q 5
Hero checks, CO bets $0.34, Hero folds
Final Pot CO wins $0.26
Rake is $0.01

Villain is unknown player. over 8 hands they are 26/26

Pre-flop there is merit to 3 bet but don't feel calling is all that bad.

Seems to be a nice flop for me and again i feel there could be be an argue to raise here.

i have no idea what to make of the turn over bet i guess i should call as i'm really high up in my range however i am unsure what i should be calling against this sizing. i made a conservative fold due to the population being value heavy but i'm sure i could be wrong with this assumption.

Any thoughts on the hand would be great thank you.

AQs plays better as 3bet. It's just a very strong hand and wants to build a pot. AQo can call.

Yeah, decent flop because BB has more 4x than CO. It's a flop BB has an advantage in very top but quickly drops off so strategy in spots like that is generally high flop XR frequency (think 20% or something) and higher fold than average flop. AQ plays fine as both call and XR.

Spots like these you really want to be able to improve on the river to beat some value hands so you should favour calling hands with a FD even if they're weaker absolute strength. AQ might still make it into calling range just based on high equity vs bluffs and can chop or be ahead of too thin value bets. I'm kinda rusty at this spot as I have focused on other poker formats lately so I'm not able to fully understand everything without looking at it with solver.

In practice at 2nl people have extreme tendencies and you can just call vs aggressive players and fold vs passive. Passive ones are way more common so unless you have seen any signs of aggression previously you can fold.

Can't tell you how you suppose to play this spot. But will tell how your thought process should be: pre- clear 3bet, too strong hand and we don't want to pay rake

flop - relative good board for you, nevertheless IP still have Equity advantage. Not blocking anything we can go for value raise on the flop. Calling is okay, to keep bluffs in and have one of the strongest bluffcatchers.

turn- generally neutral card for both of our ranges. Hit him slightly more. Overbet is bit unusual line and can be as 4x,flush or Adx; Kdx. We don't know so continue accordingly with slightly overfolding because I imagine people underbluff. Our folding range Qx without diamound(without overcard), PP 66-JJ that's already enough. AQ looks like profitable call and it is not like villain used overbet for huge size
