How do you deal with large preflop sizes in live games?
How should one deal with large preflop raise sizes in live games. Often times, villain will raise to 6-7.5x the big blind and I'm not used to dealing with that. What is the appropriate counter to this strategy?

So we have no other Info on Villain? Postfloptendencies etc.?
If so and nobody else enters the pot (So we are HU) i would usually start tighten up and fight back with a strong range.
In theory we have to defend a lot less vs bigger sizings in general.
So i would be carefull with speculative Hands like SCs or hands that have trouble postflop often like AJo/KTs and so on.
As far as we start to get reads about his play postflop we will start adjusting (loosen up again maybe).
We also might play a bit looser if the pot gets MW because the potodds then get better again and stuff like 67s or A5s become more interesting.
The appropriate response is to tighten up. Thats basically it. Cant tell you how much without solving with monker tho. Also cold calls fro other positions shouldnt be a thing because of bad odds.
