How is rakeback calcuated?

So I'm playing on an app site, PPPoker, and am receiving a very nice 60% rakeback deal with my agent. But I was wondering if anyone knows how our rake figures (on PPPoker or any site) are actually totaled up? If I play a raked pot and fold, does my rake figure go up? Or does the winner of the pot alone pay the rake in the end? Or is it divided amongst the players who entered the pot?

Please help :-)

Hey,

Normally, the rake is taken from the pot, if there is a flop. Meaning that preflop actions are not raked.
Since the money is taken from the pot, everyone that put money in the pot is paying rake equally.
