How far do we take this? 100nl
Villain seems taggish and aggressive over 200 hands. This is his first flop raise. How far do we take this TP?

i would fold :S after xr, u dont have good options after xr, tho his betline is weirdo he is xr like he has flush then continues c bet on p[airboard, so he isnt actually repping that much, but i cant see u can do anything abt it with lousy kicker no redraw to at least j of diamonds
i cant see what u accomplish by callin xr, he isnt going to slowdown on turns and u actually dont have any card u wanna see on turn and be v happy abt it
His raise on the flop is very small. This usually indicates some kind of decent to good value hand, a draw that wants to get control of the pot, or air. AJ is near the top of your range. Pretty standard call.
The turn isn't that bad of a card. The 7 blocks his 77 set, and he obviously doesn't have AA.
He could have raised A7 on the flop, but why would he raise small on a scary board, and then blast with the nuts? Kind of the same deal with 22 that filled up.
I'd call again and hope he checks back the river. He can have a worse Ax (w/ diamond) that spazzed out, air, or just a naked diamond. And your read on him being aggressive kinda helps.
Game theory is really new to me, but aren't we exploitable if we fold this part of our range in a blind vs blind spot?
+1, was thinking about the same, I still need to practice on breaking down the hand a little better in my comments :P
I dont think it's exploitable to fold the turn in a vacuum. Essentially, we're risking $20 to win $66
(20/66)=30.3%, basically is AJ in the top 30% of our turn calling range? I think if villain has a unbalanced value raising range on monotone flops, then AJ is an easy fold on turn, since he might already be drawing dead vs any 2-diamond combinations.
I think I'm calling the turn here and make a decision OTR, I mean; why would villain raise a flush OTF?
So I think his range holds enough semi-bluffs on the turn for us to make the call. I'd probably fold to a decent river bet, also on a blank river.
Yeah I think you're right, probably a leak of mine but I mostly just call the most percentage of the time in these spots and let villain barrel his range. But I can see him calling with most of his aces and broadway FD cards. So I can see its a good play to raise here with a flopped flush.
Of course he can raise a flush, but that's part of his value range, and we were figuring out his spazzing/(semi)bluffing range.
His raise sizing on the flop with a flush probably indicates some kind of medium flush.
Most players will call their huge flushes, and protect against a fourth suit rolling off.
Plus the fact that he usually 3-bets big suited cards like KQs
Yep, agreed.
