Greetings all!
I purchased the "Foundation Course" from Phil Galfond 3 days ago. Let me tell you I have been a semi successful low stakes player and conformable in most games that I have played, but I realized that I have a lot of work to do after watching the first hour of the video. Ultimately, I understood from watching the first hour that realizing the dream of becoming a professional poker player is easy but hard at the same time.Easy because the road map that Phil lays out is easy to digest but hard because it will take consistent action over time and a lot of hard work to ingraining the topics in my mind. With this being said I was up late last night going back and forth with myself thinking about the possibilities of what if I spent all of my time working on downloading this thought process and workflow into my head? Then, my mind wondered and habits of doubt and not this not being realist goal snuck into my mind. Ultimately, after hours of thought and deliberation I realized that I can do anything I put my time into. So I decided that I need a character make over and develop myself in to the person that can succeed at poker. Which means I need to strip my mind and body of everything accept poker. As of today I have deleted social media, YouTube, tv, social engagements, and basically anything that doesn't get me better at poker foundation. For the past few months I go to the gym to do 500 pushups 5 day a week. What I will be adding to that is 2 hours of yoga daily so that I stay relaxed, balanced diet, and the rest of the day improving at my Foundation of poker for the next 14 days. I wanted this forum to serve as a platform to 1 improve my poker communication 2.indoctrinate myself into the poker community 3. share hands ask questions 4. improve how I think about the game
