Fold equity in multiway pots

Does anyone know how to calculate the fold equity needed in mw pots? Ive heard of the method of if 2 players, say in the blinds fold 50% each. Then they would have a combined folding frequency of .5 x .5= 25%. But is that accurate?

I was wondering because i had a spot where a player had opened, BU 3b and i had AK and i estimated that with my pot equity had i got all in that i would have needed a fold abit more than 50% of the time. But was unsure as i had BB to act along with the other 2 players.

I was just giving an example of how i would work out the combined fold equity if say i opened on BU. But i was not sure if that is accurate for the spot i was in where i had 3b from SB. Im sure BB wont cold call often if at but theres the % chance of him going all in along with CO and BU. Co is probably gonna fold 80% or more and BU more like 60 in this spot. So i was thinking they would fold around 48% of the time not including BB which i worked that out by getting .8 x .6 Do you know if thats accurate or way off?

The match is correct. However, the estimation is just an estiamtion, You need a huge sample in your HUD to get close to reality when it comes to there fold to3et %

I meant with me needing 48% fold equity vs co folding 80% and BU folding 60% how would i work out for BB if he was continuing 3% of the time ( so BB was 5b shipping all in with the top 3% of hands).
