Flopping trips in 3 bet pot and extracting value
200NL
Villain in the SB appears to be recreational. I see them cold calling hands that are typically folds, open limping, and bet sizing seems unorthodox. Earlier paid me off (forgot the hand), think it was TPGK and I had a set I believe. Anyways typical spot that is basically a fold, so villain is a bit sticky. I think this tilted the player and they reloaded for the max ($400).
2 folds
Hero ($246) co 7d6d opens $5
SB ($400) 3bet to $20
Hero calls HU.
Flop ($42) Tc 7h 7s
SB bets $15
Hero 7d6d raises to $41.
SB calls
*Don't think I should be raising much here, but i'm using a 2.5x sizing to basically build a pot and get some value in case sb has like JJ or QQ and turn comes A K T and kills some action.
Turn ($124) Tc 7h 7s 8h
SB X
Hero ($190) bets $44
SB calls
Again just building the pot and setting up a easy river shove here. Not really worried about sizing up and having a bluffing range vs this player and being balanced.
River ($212) Tc 7h 7s 8h 5s
SB X
Hero all in $146
What are your thoughts on small sizings post flop? Should I just be raising larger on the flop and following through on the turn with like 75% sizing?
