Flatting vs 3bets OOP

Hey guys,

I've been having alot of troubles with playing 3bpots OOP as the caller. I've been looking for material about said topic but I havent found anything so far. Does anyone have recommendations for some material?

First of all preflop seems to be a bit troubling because it leads to costy mistakes postflop and a ton of frustration (I seem to find myself very very often in OOP 3b pot situations where i have marginal hand facing multiple bets and i end up making bad calls/jams or fold and left to wonder if i made a correct fold ) . Lets bring an example.
Say i open UTG and (balanced or unbalanced) player IP 3bets me. How do i construct my flatting and 4betting range here?
From optimal perspective I cant fold too much so that he could expoit me (I guess this will differ if he was 3betting really tight vs balanced?) vs tight guy i should make exploitable folds and vs balanced guy i have to defend enough vs his 3bets. Im OK with making exploitable folds but having touble vs balanced range. I cant seem to figure out what my flatting and 4betting ranges should look like. If i always 4bet my AA/KK my flatting range is capped ant it becomes really really hard to realize my equity and basically im always in a spot where i have no idea if my plays have positive EV or not and same goes for constructing 4betting ranges

Should i flat with my AA/KK/AK some % of time and 4bet other times?

Maybe I shouldnt have a 4betting range at all?

How can I improve this aspect of my game?

Thanks for replying!
