Exploring out-of-the-box play: Experimenting donkbetting small entire range SB-BUT in SRP vs 50%+ opener

Lately I'm experimenting with employing a mixed strategy in SB-BUT situations vs wide button opens, instead of a pure 3betting strategy. A combination of a polar(ish) 3betting range and a decent flattingrange, to allow me VPIPing more hands than were I to merely 3bet.

In those spots where I opt to flat and the flop is somewhat 'high-card' heavy, it should favor my range (significantly) versus the wide button opening range, even though he has more nutsy hands. So now I'm wondering if donking small (22-28%) with my entire flatting range SB-BUT vs a wide opener (50%+) might be a more effective option than just checking my entire range.

Biggest PROS of donking:
- Protecting stronger range on a good amount of boards: (esp. Axx, Kxx, Qxx, Jxx)
- Creating fold EQ (or value) vs weaker part of villains range by not allowing villain to check back, which he will do soo often, given his range-disadvantage.

CONS:
- In general, villain has more nutsy hands, by leading I allow him to leverage those, since I build the pot 'for him'. (Is this a more essential consideration then allowing villain to take a free card?.
-

The gameplan postflop is to treat my donkbet as if it were a check (from that point on), so perceiving a raise by villain as a 'normal' cbet, defending more unless as I normally would versus those.

Eager to get feedback on why this could be reasonable/effective or is just utterly bad!

Cheers
