Exploitative vs GTO
We're always looking for playing a balanced game/strategy.
We don't wanna bet all our values on the flop 'cos this would weakens our checking range.
Sometimes, by playing exploitative we get into some stats that can be seen as a leak. Ie, the microstakes population tends to XR or 4b pre tighter than the optimal, this will make some of our stats to decrease/increase from the standard values. Another example, if you play 2NL, you often will be playing multiway pots and this can decrease your CB frequency.
Can we argue this changes that may seen a leak in our game due to this exploitative play?
I'm currently at 10NL and I'm very divided between playing GTO v Exploitative (or maybe I could do both)
Most regs CB a lot and have >55% XF ott, this makes me to overcall ip on some flops textures and stab most of turns in a very aggressive way. When oop vs these regs, I like to XR with a much wider range than the usual 'cos they won't defend properly.
Am I confusing something here? Widening my XR or floating range vs these players listed above is part of gto play as well?
