Donkbetting HU
Hey can somebody awesome tell me some theory behind donkbetting ott when board pairs? I've seen quite a lot of people do it at nl1k+ now, sizing is 1/5 the pot usually, how should we play against it? And with what hands should we usually do the donkbetting with?
Thanks!

The idea is that it favors oops range when people bet polarized ip.
There's a good section on this in the 'Mathematics of Poker'. The idea is you get your medium hands to showdown cheaper by betting small as first to act. Your range should contain some big hands though so as not to be capped and therefore vulnerable to a raise.
Teddy is spot on there. (when sec pair and third pair on flop, pairs up on turn)
The idea is that the middle/bottom card is pairing is better for the calling than the pre-flop raiser.
Sauce did it in the first part of his 2000NL video. Some players also overbet when either card pairs, though that's usually on wet boards.
I actually got punished that way at 1000NL today. It's pretty annoying to fight back against.
