Yes, snap call. Also, think about raising the turn?
If it was a normal bet I am raising the turn almost always. The overbet gave me pause but even here I thought about it for a long time because its not the end of the world to get it in vs 45. Interested in more views - it feels too tight but at the same time I just don't see many villains at this level happy to bluff away 150bb in a single raised pot (even blind vs blind this seems unlikely). The most obvious drawss got there so the only value hands I am beating are 33 and 22.
Yeah, I think river you're only winning against 22. Maybe against JT too? Overpairs? TT+
Exploitatively, I'm not willing to risk a stack on a "some times good call" so would fold.
Well played. I would consider raising flop as there's a lot of bad turns: 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, spades
raise flop!!!

You have to raise flop for multiple reasons especially at this stack depth. If you don't raise here you don't have a raising range.
As played I might ask whether you have a plan or not OTF. If you called because villain is hyper bluffy, you should call it down even if you are going to lose often, but not as often that you have a -EV spot.
If villain is somewhat competent I really don't have an answer, I played a lot of hands at these stakes and probably I've seen this line a couple of times this deep. So in the end, it doesn't matter what you do, I mean, this spot is so rare that it won't make a significant difference in your long term winrate
Agree on raising the flop. Thanks.
I like your play. And I think you should never raise on flop and turn...
Hi.
Could you please explain why wouldn`t you raise flop in that spot?
Asking since I play 25NL (not entirely confident in my postflop game) and typically raise there as it`s hard for me to see the logic behind just calling (especially that deep).
Thanks a lot!
I think raise flop ain't amazing but I would raise turn
Raise flop is not good because we are in position and wants oppo starting his bluffs... for this reasons maybe raise on turn should be correct because villains now have more equity and If he calls our raise, on bad river card we can check back...
I would like to now what say Piosolver
(Sorry for my English)
It's very clearly a raise. I'm surprised so many people are just saying flop shouldn't be a raise. If you have flushdraws, gutshots, and other bluffs to raise, why wouldn't you want to raise a strong hand? And the very few 66 that call are raised on the turn vs this betsize as well.
Blue is raise, red is fold, green is call
I think you don't need stuff like solvers yet though. You need a good basic strategy. How about you play your hands as follows:
Aggressive actions with strong hands and better semibluffs. Being sets, 2 pair, strong top pair. Bluff with stronger draws such as higher flushdraws, straightdraws.
More passive actions with more showdown hands such as 1 pair, weaker flushdraws, some gutshots. Fold out air.
So one theoretical Question here: IMO raise flop seems standard.
But should we really be raising turn?: That huge overbet should heavilly polarize Villains range. That said: Shouldnt we have a raising range OTT at all? Or is this turn wet enough that we might get enough B/calls from weaker hands?
Have a raising range as his bluff range is equity driven. And there should be enough calls from weaker hands and strong draws.
