Constructing a check-call range on flop

Hey guys

One big leak I have in my game is my check-call range on flop. I have a stunning 73% C/F flop and I am easily getting exploited because of that.

Atm I check midpairs and weak TPs, but it obviously aint enough. Do you use draw hands in your c/c aswell?

Or how does your check-call ranges look like?

For example I check-call A7 on 27J. But on the same board I also check 88-JJ. Which also leads to the fact that I can't effectively check-call three streets. Hence my worrying about if I should check some draw hands...

Messy post perhaps.. tl;dr what do you use in your check-call range and construct it in a way so you can call 3 streets more often than just 1-2 and then have to give up?

Are you talking as PFR here?

I don't quite see how you can have such high XF flop %age but also XC those hands.

I dont know if its only PFR in the stat @ HEM

Neither do I, but it says 73% :( But maybe the stat include c/f when not PFR

Yh, you could do with finding this out for starters i guess.

If you are getting barrelled off TPNK and second pair hands often you should strengthen your XC range as PFR. On these dry boards you can start by XC top set especially as it blocks the top pairs he is going to call with anyway.

This sounds weird but it could be because you're not continuation betting enough air. Lets assume that you have 3 classes of hands: nutted hands, bluff catchers, and air. If you don't bet very many of your air hands you're putting them in your checking range and making it so that even if you check call the same types of hands as most people you'll have a significantly higher check fold % because of the extra air in your overall checking range.

Yeah KP24, the top set thing I also do. Thing is that's so few combos and so on. I've also found myself c/f turn and river more often.

James, never thought of it that way. So if I look at my cbet (58%) does it tell if I check too much air? I thought the number was pretty standard and therefore did not think of it that way.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm getting really worried about my game here lol.
