About 480 for me to call.

Anyway, back to the hand. Villain runs 29/22/12 in 400 hands sample. 64 fold to c-bet. Don't have any significant history vs him. I am not an NL-player so tell me which relevant info I should add.

This is such a weird spot... and to me this is a spot where what you're thinking about is much more important than the actual decision.

So, what do you think is important in making a decision in this spot? Can you think of a reasonable range for your opponent where calling is better than folding? Folding better than calling? What would you be thinking about when trying to figure out how likely those ideas are?

What could you could change about the hand (hand/stack size/board/timing/history/anything else...) that would make this an easy decision for you either way?

wow.... 2.3x overbet raise! Wild. I am also equally confused, and if you called I'd really like to hear what he had at the end of this.

I've been playing some 2/5nl zoom and I haven't seen this before. So I'm just going to tell you my instinct without too much experience: I'm calling with the top two sets, and possibly top two pair. (I think top two is much better than third and fourth set in this spot because of greater likelyhood of someone having the absolute nuts with these lines going for messed up value and that it plays similarly vs if he has like KJs.)

Disagree with this as he's pretty much always 3 betting 1010 and QQ preflop whereas he probably wouldn't with 22 and 44.

Lol for some reason I thought we were UTG vs UTG+1 when I posted this! This changes a lot, and it makes a lot more sense now since it's bvb :D

I def agree with James. Tens and all over pairs are getting 3bet pre and most flopped sets would probably raise the flop hoping to have you play back with the over pair. This hand seems as if the villian may have had overs and a flushdraw and possibly connected with the queen giving him enough to make this big semi bluff all in jam. This may also be a bluff after floating , I figure he has 1 pair more often then top 2 sets here but is it worth the call?

Needs specific read. but it seems like a semi-bluff .. most of the time pair+flush draw type of hands that he didnt like to face a river or turn decision in case
1- if he called the turn and you bet a blank river again
2- if he raised turn to like 180~ and you pushed all in.

And what you could do if he took the option two ?

You might say he could get this line with his sets to adjust it but i dont really think Zoom is a place for those deceiving moves.
So how close you find yourself answering question "2" by i am going all in" or other options that you would like to get in ... you are more confident calling this one imo.

i havent played much vs villain, but from what i know he isnt very good. I dont think he ever takes this line with a set and I think his hand is kind of faceup as some kind of combo draw here. I call and take a note, and am pretty happy about it

I click call.

I think he almost never has a set here and even if he does, I'm content with the fact that even if I'm calling here, he's winning far less money from me than he should with set vs. range here in the long run.

I expect his range to basically be a lot of 2pr hands that we have 18% equity against and big combo draws that we'll have 66%+ against as well as the odd really strange jam with a hand that we're 90% against (maybe some super weirdly played KK/AQ..).

I PokerStoved a very generous range of {QT/Q4s/Q2s, super-strong draws} and we're 40%. I think we're definitely going to get close if not climb of 50% once we add some weightings to some looser draws and especially so if he's ever doing this for value with KK/AQ as some sort of spazzy zoom FPS.

This sums it up pretty well imo. Not sure what the worst hand is that I call since a hand like AQ blocks some 2p, it also does worse vs his draws compared to AA. though I think i call AQ+ here.

Agree with Sean. You're really looking at 22, 44 and QT here for value only. I don't think He'd be doing this with QXss tbh. I think based on the overbet ship with no specific history this is gonna be weighted towards the OESFDs or GSFDs like 89s, J8s, J9s, KJs, K9s and AJs all day long. Maybe even 56s, A5s, A3s or 53s does that. The chances of him having TT or QQ are about as much as him showing up with KK here. I don't know exactly how ADZ plays these days, but AQss/o could even bet there. There fact that you don't have As opens up so many hands with a bunch of equity to make this play. He's gotta think its tough for you to call without AQ or better. In fact, I bet he thinks you can't call without 2 pair. If he showed up with 22 or 44. Gotta make a note of that then.
