Common Spot 1: Facing a flop raise in a 3b Pot
SB: $15.26
BB: $22.07 (Hero)
UTG: $29.46
MP: $23.19
CO: $17.02
Going to try post some common (probably standard spots) during the course of this month - hopefully will be helpful to everyone playing in these games to have somewhere to discuss.
This hand is from 16NL Zoom and the reason I am posting this spot is I feel like I often get stacked by a set. It's probably not as often as I perceive it to be though. Basically you flop top pair or an overpair in a 3b pot from the blinds and are raised by an IP player. Whats your thought process? My default is to go into check call mode on dry boards and mix up check call with simply shoving on boards that are a bit more drawy.
Do you ever fold and if so what reads / stats are you looking at to make that fold? Just looking for any input into how to improve in these spots.

I hate this spot from the bottom of my hearth. I think I m overfolding this spot for sure, because I think regs are underbluffing here esp when you cbet big.
This is a super easy call please dont level yourself with they only have sets. What on earth are we calling if we arent calling w/AK. If you fold here you are at the whim of making nuts to make money.
You have to look at MP's entire range. 44 is not a clear defend in MP vs a BB raise, but they also have lots of draws and bluffs in their range as well. KQs/o, and most all combos of QT and KT, they also have lots of suited hands that want to XR as well like T9h. If you are folding Top top on this board, what are your calling hands? 2pair and better? This causes you to be extremely exploitable on lots of runouts
