Cold Calling Ranges
I've been doing some DB review in my game and one of the leaks found was my too tight CC range from MP, CO, BU, SB.
From the last ~50k hands, my general CC range is 9%, it doesn't look badly just for the 9%, but when we look for positional CC range, I've found some problems.
I've been reading the Applications of NLHE from Matthew Janda, in some examples he gives 8~12% cc range (except for SB) vs an EP open.
My cc range vs EP in general is something like 2~4%.
At this scenario, he also recommends to add some speculative hands that I don't use as call such as KJs, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, plus the std QQ, AKo, AQs, KQs,etc( 8,5%ccMP flat vs UTG). Obviously he is not suggesting that we should call with this exactly hands, but he is passing the idea of an ~8,5% cc range that I don't use. I feel more comfortable to 3b some of these speculative hands in a lower frequency. That's why I'm afraid of getting squeezed or play a dominated hand vs EP.
I wanna know from you guys, in a standard way, is it okay to cc with those speculative hands I said above in a MPvEP situation, for example?
Obv, sometimes will depend on the left to act Villains as well, but I'm saying in a standard way, no fishes, no maniacs.
