We had been playing for a while and villian was in my opinion quite a donkey. He sometimes bet small and sometimes bet big without any complete reason. I had called him down before when he 3-barreled me with pot bets and the first time he hit a top pair on the turn and rivered a straight. Second time he flopped top pair with top kicker and did the same(I did chck raise all in then with just a weaker A that he called.). I guess his pottbett range consisted of good holdings so therefore I decided to check-raise the turn. I wonder if it was a mistake to do so and just chck-call again and therefore hope he would bet the river to. But I was afraid that a 7 or a diamond might scare him. Secondly I guess that if he for some reason has a hand like he TJ  might call aswell or a diamond draw. Hopefully all overs + AJ-KJ-QJ. I feel like the chk raise was a mistake and a chk call is better or mb a reraise to 6? Also I hope Tx and 7x hands might call for desperation.
