He is 36/28/af8.3/3bet12.5 Fold to Cbet Flop 33 108 hands
I think he is a lag shorty reg. It's not so much that he wasn't folding to my cbet often but he was 3betting the hell out of me pre out of the blinds which did kind of bother me and I did 4bet him some and flatted some pre. I never beefed this much against a shorty before but this guy is a little different from others because he would stick around to +85BB ESS or so.
His signature line to balance in 3bet pots is that he would just check/give up on flop instantly sometimes oop.
Well, my thinking is that this dude is aggressive postflop and the board texture doesn't really change much and I didn't think that it hit his range all that much.
What do you guys think?

I like Flop/turn but if hes somewhat thinking and has the same thought that youre telling in your last sentence, then river becomes pretty interesting. Cauze vs an somewhat unknown this thought would usually make me tempt to fold. Cauze XC twice here on this turn doesnt perceive any potential FE OTR i guess
But if you have a history and there is already some leveling going on bewteen you guys i like your line a lot...
But the reads you gave sound otherwise (not floating too much, giving up and so on)
He doesn't fold to cbet often and he does like to float ip often but I didn't notice that fact against me because all we played thus far were 3bet pots. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you. This is like the first hand where he actually flatted my open and played the hand like a normal person.
I hate to say that, cause it often sounds like ppl dont have a real solution but...This is a soooooo player dependant spot :)
Cauze I guess leveling comes into play decently....I guess if hes a capable handreader and gives you credit for reading boards, your line is just great :)
otherwise it could be pretty stationy if that makes sense....But if i misunderstood your description i guess this hand is wp
i think you played it fine and probebly best
