Hero bets $7,
HJ calls $7
I like cbetting better than check-calling here. He will have to fold a lot and it makes my hand easier to play. Thoughts?

Hero checks,
HJ checks
When he flats I'll give him a lot of Aces, flushdraws and a few pocket pairs. something like ATo-AQo, A2s-AQs, KJs-KTs, KQo-KJo, 99-JJ and some suited connectors like QJs-76s. I think that he would often be betting his combinations of Aces, some FDs and sometimes even his PPs for protection when I check ott.

Hero checks,
HJ bets $17,
Hero folds
His bets otr polarizes his range a lot as I believe he would check back almost all PPs in the range I gave him above, He will also check back Aces weaker than AJ from time to time.
Final Pot
HJ
wins $24.35
Doing the math now it seems like I need to be right 28% of the time to break even and if he is checking back his MPs and some Aces this is an easy call?
