Can I call this 3brl w/ A-high? NL10 (Pokerstars)

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (5 Players) SB: $10.67
BB: $10.00 (Hero)
UTG: $10.31
CO: $10.32
BN: $19.99
Villain is 29/26/43/11(92) (VPip/PFR/Steal/3B(Hands))
Hero is 30/24/55/8(10,3k)

I reckon villain is one of the better regulars on this player pool
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BB with T A
2 folds, BN raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero calls $0.20
Well. I called this PF, because I was thinking that villain would fold worse and raise better.
Flop ($0.65) 6 Q 5
Hero checks, BN bets $0.31, Hero calls $0.31
On this flop, I reckon villain will cbet 100%. My thinking was that I'm ahead.
Turn ($1.27) 6 Q 5 Q
Hero checks, BN bets $0.80, Hero calls $0.80
Turn doesn't really change anything. I was thinking that I'm still ahead most of the time.
River ($2.87) 6 Q 5 Q 3
Hero checks, BN bets $1.90, Hero calls $1.90
From what I've seen on this player pool. People won't value bet enough on river. I was thinking he checks all Ax, pocket pairs <77, 6x, 5x. I was thinking he bets only pocket pairs >77, Qx, and bluffs.
Final Pot BN wins and shows a pair of Queens.
BN wins $6.37
Rake is $0.30

I was quite surprised when villain showed AKo. Did he bet that river for value or bluff? I'm confused.

The question I would ask myself on the river is: "what can I beat?". This hand just isn't good enough to bluff catch, since some of his 'bluffs' like AJ and AK even beat you. I would say a clear fold OTT.

If you get to the river I don't hate calling, I prefer to reserve my heroing for boards with a missed flushdraw though because my understanding of the thought process of an aggressive regular there is they think "well I unblock the missed flushdraw, better fire the third barrel" so they tend to end up overbluffing those kind of spots but this kind of board is fine to call down pretty light as well, I think the problem is as you've seen that A high may be a bit too light against this villain.

That said I don't think you should get to the river with this hand because it never improves, hands like underpairs are so much better to call on the turn because they have 2 outs to the nuts which may not seem like much until you consider that when villain is value betting roughly 4% of the time you're going to get their entire stack (with some reverse implied odds for 22-44 I guess but it's still much better than ace high) and they absolutely cannot lose to bluffs which is a disaster for your ev.

The turn is very important here. Q never improves your range much; he also can fire the final barrel with A6/K6/67.... On the river his bet size tells me it is a rarely bluff but rather a thin value like you said 77+. Him showing AK is really odd.
ps c/r flop is not great but playable IMO. you can always improve to ace/straight draw and barrel the turn.

Q never improves your range much
Actually it is opposite every paired card is better for OOP, therefore IP can't blindly 3barrel here or use big sizings because will iso himself vs trips.
I'd say every 99+ OTR is not exciting valuebet for IP, and depending on OOP strategy might be 0 EV between check/bet

My logic is that OOP never have good queens, if KJs/KQs/AQ goes to 3bet therefore even tho the turn pairs it is no improvement to BB range.
I'm just guessing here so I'd like to hear your point on that.

Sure in relation to both ranges caller range will have same amount Qx ( because IP not betting Qx 100% but OOP always call it, so preflop advantage evens out). However IP range have more air, while OOP isn't calling air vs 1/2 cbet.

Thank you all for your comments. It might be that I'm playing too loose. I'm getting back to poker after a very long break and I find these BB vs BU situations very problematic.

But I really don't like to call PF, call flop and fold turn. Would it be better to 3B PF or call PF and c/r flop?

call preflop is the best what you did in the hand oD, flop call is alright too. But since turn gotta get away
