Calling range against short/medium stack pre-flop jams
This is more of a general theory question so if its in the wrong section my apologies. I was playing 25NL on Bovada Zone and came across this situation and it got me thinking about what our calling range should be in this spot, how influential their stack size is, how important is position, etc...
So I picked up QQ in the BB, MP raised to $0.75, CO folded, and BTN shoves (quickly) for $15.66... folded to me (I sat with $46+) and I ended up folding which I absolutely hated and instantly regretted. I guess my first thought was that I most likely had him beat and he was probably tilting from a previous hand given his 60BB stack but then figured there was an equally likely chance he had AA/KK or even AKs. I definitely think it should've been a call in hindsight.
How wide of a calling range should be have here? How much tighter should our range be with the player behind? How much do we let their stack size influence our calling range? How often do we run into someone that only plays AA/KK this way?
Thanks for the important everyone, sorry if its in the wrong section.
